In Quiet

Without a word
Long days rustled
With happy feet
Swiftly they flew
My mind parched
For words like
A barren field
In summer, waiting
For the rain
And quiet like a
Lazy afternoon
It seemed to wait
For the sun
To go down and
Fire up the sky
A golden field of
Splendour and beauty
Across the universe
Like it always does
